You bet that the Stray Casts crew and more will be at the Chicagoland Fishing, Travel & Outdoors Show at the Schaumburg Convention Center.
It opens at noon today and will close a bit early, at 3 p.m. Sunday, in time for the Big Game.
And I expect to see SRO seminars again this year, as was the case the first few years.
I plan to arrive this morning around 11 a.m. to make sure everything is good at the Stray Casts booth, that will be booth 22, the place to be.
I think Bobby Bergren, aka Bobby B, will be there earlier and be helping get the Shimano booth going.
I think he and Capt. Ralph Steiger are both working the Shimano booth, but both will also be poking their heads into the Stray Casts booth regularly and joining the mass of people hanging around.
Pat Renwick will be the main guy working the booth with me. He should be there both tonight and Friday evening, then all day on the weekend.
Shows appeal to the performer in Pat. You will enjoy seeing him in the throes of a show.
Lure guy Johnny Mouratides will also be in our booth most of the time with me.
Steve Kwolek, the online guru behind our redone Stray Casts site, will be popping in and out, too.
But mostly, I am looking forward to meeting people and giving them idea what Stray Casts is and where it is headed. I already have quite a list of people who plan to stop by.
On Wednesday, for my column in the Sun-Times, I listed the things I hope to do over the next four days. I hope I am able to do all that I want to do.
It is going to be work, but it will be fun, too.
I can't wait.
I plan to be tweeting, Facebooking and such from the show. Like I said, it will be work, but fun.
