Notes on Stray Casts No. 8: Jacob Wheeler, Nick Ray & Ben Dickinson
As usual, there was a lot of nonsense and antics last night on Stray Casts.
But there was also some nuggets of good stuff other than our wit.
Here are notes and contacts for things from the show last night. Click here for the podcast of Stray Casts No. 8. The show streams live beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesdays and runs for two hours or more, then is converted to a podcast available on Stray Casts Outdoor Cartoon Television channel on YouTube.
Jacob Wheeler gave specifics about buzzbaits and some good stuff on life on the pro fishing tour. How good was his information, just let me say that Ryan Whitacre was inking notes on his hands. We even took a close-up of Ryan's inked mitts.

Because Bobby Bergren was feeling under the weather, though he did come out for the tackle segment and fishing reports, Pat Renwick pulled out his box of balsa baits for the tackle segment.
Ben Dickinson touched all the bases on life and fish in the ``Stalwarts'' segment. Especially remember that the creel women are vital for determining the state of salmon on Lake Michigan.
Just a reminder that ``Shifting Sands'' debuts at 9 p.m. Friday on WYIN (Lakeshore Public Television.)
The North American Vintage Decoy and Sporting Collectibles Show is at Pheasant Run in St. Charles through Saturday.
Also the Guyette & Deeter, Inc.’s 31st annual spring decoy auction runs through Friday in conjunction with NAVDSCS; featured items include Joe French’s decoy collection and artwork from the Paul Tudor Jones II.
